The game has a limit of energy, noted as HW, and this can run down rapidly. (12 per action I believe, 3000 HW max) You can use items you find to restore it, however, your item limit is small to start out, and this cuts down on other goodies you can hold that you find. You'll want these HW items, as you lose if you run out. (Wasn'r that curious to find out what price that caries.) Now you can upgrade your item carry limit, but as other reviews note, it uses a special currency to do so, and regardless of how easy it seems to get, at first, it quickly becomes evident, you'll be grinding for days to earn more once the lure you in awards, stop coming in a rusj, and then again, when there aren't many left, and then no extra rewards at all. Oh, and there are so many other things you'll be spending that special currency on, so the grind will be pushed into your face quite intensely. This however, isn't the worst of it. If it was, this game wouldn't warrent a bad review, it would just require letting people know, they'll be sinking in a ton of hours, in what might be, a game with no end.No, what warrents me telling people that they should avoid this game, unless they can find it on sale and have a dollar to waste, are the bugs. Now, I only found one, but it comes in two strengths: Annoying, keep hitting the button until it finally exits, and the "Enjoy closing the game and reload, sucker" version. 1 bug, two different levels of frustration, discovered in the 100 minutes of the game I played before writing this. Part of me is morbidly curious, and wants to see what other bugs and issues I may encounter. Mixed in with me finding the trouble of requesting a refund for the small price I paid to also be annoying, and perhaps more trouble than it is worth.So, yeah, my opinion is not to touch this unless you find it EXTREMELY discounted, and have $1 US that you are willing to throw away. This game is a poorly executed (failed) mobile port, that has nothing to do with the Wizardry games or Rogue. No wonder this game failed as a mobile pay-to-win game. There is no point to it, besides grinding the same levels over and over again. Combat simplistic, just move towards an enemy, there is a dungeon timer, called HW (Holy Water) that runs out as you perform actions, like move, attack, open a chest. When it runs out your party is basically dead. So, you have to pay absurd amounts of gold for HW potions to take with you on longer dungeaons. Characters are random drops or purchased with "tickets" and are also random. There is no real RPG elements to this game. You don't have control over any of your characters development. This game is just too lamw to waste my time on it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.. Wizrogue is exactly what the title says: Wizardry meets roguelike game. I was impressed how well this blend works. Gameplay is very solid and balanced, underlying mechanics of Wizardry is a good background for roguelike game. As the additional bonus, the game is kept in the convention of the tabletop game, with mini figures representing your party and cards representing spells. The graphics are really good, I think that if that game would be considered as a pure roguelike, I'd say it has the best graphics from all other installments so far. Music and sound effects are also very good. There is only one aspect of the game which can be a bit irritating: the mobile game roots of the game somehow got through to the surface. There are revive options, paid elite members and other reminiscent of In-App-Purchases which shouldn't be in paid version. My guess is that if those elements were fully eradicated, even with the certain death of the characters, the game would only improve.. Basic, fun. Too much of the freemium mechanics (energy bar, etc.) were retained that don't add to the game play. Also, more roguelike elements -- such as procedural elements -- would help a lot. That might help with the freemium version on Android or whatever as well. Vaguely reminiscent of the older Wizardry games, could use more of that, too.. Very very very hard, accidently failed revived my best character and the game became unplayable.. Beware!Look at the 'Bug reports' topic and you'll see that this game has been abandoned by its developers.If you don't care, buy cheap and you can squeeze out some hours of grinding fun.. I purchased this game on sale for around $9. The game cetainly feels like a ported mobile game, but fans of Wizardry might enjoy the distinct "Wizardry feeling" the game has. The game itself feels like a board game, with adventures into dungeons being handled with the movement of character pieces or miniatures. Different caliber of heroes are either rolled up with earned tickets, or found while dungeon crawling.Unfortunately, I didn't get much futher in the game than that. The game constantly crashes no more than 5 minutes into the game. My system meets the posted requirments, so I assume this is a bug they will hopefully fix soon.
